By: “How To Survive As A Woman” Americans of today… live happy, strong, and free? Americans…are they right or are they wrong? Americans of today…only have 2 options? Today, once again we are faced with geopolitical and religious combatants that seek to threaten our very existence. Yes as a people we continue to have daily reminders of our frail humanity, our imperfections and weaknesses. Physically, Americans are not a special people, a people who are blessed with special immunities from the cruelties that life inflicts upon us. We know that as humans, we all succumb to the eventualities of the temporary life we enjoy as people of this earth. For more than two centuries “Americans” has always represented the hope of mankind, of the courage, of the prosperity, and of the accomplishments that can be attained with a life of freedom, beauty, and justice. In today’s world, as Americans, we seemed to have lost our focus; greed and the pursuit of temporary pleasures have poisoned our minds and spirit, which has only taken us down a path of violence and bloodshed. This very path we see glorified in our entertainment media. We continue to achieve great advancements in science and technology, however our cleverness has only made us cold and unkind, lacking in humanity and unity. Our technology has provided us with faster and more efficient tools of communication, however; we are not taking the time to understand each other. As a result our communications are not of unity and hope, but of despair and of deep seeded hatreds. Our youth continue to develop an overwhelming fascination with death instead of a healthful longing for life. As adults we think too much and we feel too little. Our political reasoning has become obscured. We elect individuals to represent us in our City, State and National Governments, telling them to bring about unity in law, and then expecting the representatives to have all the answers regarding the lack of unity. Let us all resolve today, to increase our concentration on the solutions for America, on the reasons for the right causes to be taken up and the right course to take for ourselves and our children. We have within ourselves the power to create happiness, to see life as a precious treasure to be lived and enjoyed. We cannot simply wait for the solutions from our Religious community, from the Political Left or Right, or from our educational system, we need to look to ourselves, as individual Americans. Some say that Americans only have two options; enslavement or ashes. NO, we have a third option; to live happy, strong and free as Americans with pride and with the dignity of humanity. So we can say, Yes! we are right! Americans of today can live happy, strong and free. Check: Growing Old With Grace and Power
